Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Sportynix.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:

  • the Sportynix mobile applications for Android and iOS;
  • the Sportynix website;
  • booking, payment, messaging, team, league, tournament, challenge, scoring, notification, and related Sportynix services; and
  • any other service that links to these Terms.

Sportynix is operated by Webxkey (Private) Limited, trading as Sportynix (“Sportynix”, “Webxkey”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing Sportynix, making a booking, making a payment, joining a team or competition, or otherwise using the service, you agree to:

If you do not agree, do not use Sportynix.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create and use a Sportynix account.

Where required by applicable law, users under 18 must use Sportynix with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using Sportynix, you confirm that:

  • you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
  • the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current;
  • you will comply with applicable laws, venue rules, and competition rules; and
  • you will not use Sportynix for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.

If you use Sportynix on behalf of a company, team, club, venue, or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act on its behalf.

3. Description of the Service

Sportynix provides a digital sports platform through which users may:

  • discover and compare sports venues and facilities;
  • view venue details, prices, facilities, rules, and available slots;
  • reserve individual, consecutive, recurring, or permanent booking slots;
  • pay booking advances, balances, or other booking-related amounts;
  • receive booking confirmations and QR codes;
  • create, join, and manage sports teams;
  • send and receive challenges;
  • participate in leagues and tournaments;
  • access live or recorded scoring and match information;
  • communicate through direct, team, challenge, booking, league, and tournament chats;
  • submit venue reviews, ratings, photos, and other content; and
  • earn or use eligible Sportynix points, rewards, referrals, and promotional benefits.

Sportynix may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.

4. Sportynix’s Role and Venue Operators

Sportynix operates the technology platform, facilitates bookings and communications, and may collect or facilitate payments connected to bookings.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the venue, court, equipment, coaching, and other venue-related services are supplied by independent venue operators.

Venue operators are responsible for:

  • the availability and condition of their facilities;
  • the accuracy of venue-specific information they provide;
  • maintaining reasonable safety standards;
  • complying with applicable law;
  • honouring valid confirmed bookings;
  • communicating operational changes; and
  • providing any venue-side service included in the booking.

Sportynix is not the owner or operator of every venue listed on the platform. However, we may assist with booking, payment, cancellation, refund, or dispute issues according to these Terms and our policies.

5. Account Registration and Security

5.1 Creating an account

You may register using email and password, one-time password verification, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or another supported method.

You must:

  • provide accurate and complete information;
  • maintain only the number of accounts permitted by Sportynix;
  • keep your contact information updated; and
  • not impersonate another person or organisation.

You may not create multiple accounts to misuse promotions, rewards, referrals, booking limits, or platform controls.

5.2 Account security

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials confidential;
  • protecting access to your device;
  • using a secure password;
  • promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorised access; and
  • activity conducted through your account unless caused by our fault.

Sportynix will never ask you to disclose your password, banking PIN, payment one-time password, or card security code through chat or support messages.

5.3 Account suspension or termination

You may stop using Sportynix and request account deletion at any time.

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:

  • a serious or repeated breach of these Terms;
  • false, malicious, or fraudulent bookings;
  • payment fraud, chargeback abuse, or misuse of saved payment methods;
  • harassment, threats, or unsafe conduct;
  • manipulation of points, scores, reviews, or competition results;
  • harm to users, venues, Sportynix, or third parties;
  • an unpaid valid amount;
  • security concerns; or
  • a legal or regulatory requirement.

Termination does not remove obligations concerning completed bookings, payments, refunds, disputes, or records that must be retained.

6. Venue Information, Pricing, and Availability

Venue descriptions, photographs, facilities, sports, prices, operating hours, rules, cancellation conditions, and availability may be provided by venue operators.

We take reasonable steps to display accurate information, but information and availability may change.

Prices may vary based on:

  • venue;
  • sport;
  • date and time;
  • court or facility;
  • booking duration;
  • demand;
  • booking type;
  • promotion or discount;
  • taxes;
  • additional services; or
  • other charges displayed before confirmation.

You are responsible for reviewing the booking summary and total amount before confirming a booking or payment.

7. Slot Holds and Booking Confirmation

Available slots may be temporarily held during checkout, normally for the period displayed in the app.

A temporary hold:

  • is not a confirmed booking;
  • may expire automatically;
  • may be released if checkout is not completed; and
  • does not guarantee availability until the booking is successfully created and any required payment is verified.

A booking is confirmed only when Sportynix shows it as confirmed or otherwise provides a valid booking confirmation.

Where an advance payment is required, the booking will not be treated as payment-confirmed merely because the payment interface displays a success or return screen. Sportynix may wait for verified payment confirmation from the payment provider.

8. Normal and Consecutive-Slot Bookings

A normal booking is made for a specific date and time period.

Where you select consecutive slots, such as 6:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Sportynix may combine them into one continuous booking, such as 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

A combined booking may have:

  • one booking reference;
  • one QR code;
  • one total duration;
  • one payment record; and
  • one cancellation outcome.

Unless Sportynix and the venue expressly approve a partial change, you cannot cancel or refund only part of a combined continuous booking.

9. Permanent and Recurring Bookings

A permanent or recurring booking reserves future occurrences according to the selected venue, sport, weekday, time, and recurrence configuration.

Availability of future occurrences is subject to venue schedules, court capacity, closures, and system rules.

Where an advance is required for a permanent booking:

  • the initial advance applies to the first generated booking occurrence unless a different arrangement is clearly displayed before payment;
  • the advance does not automatically prepay the entire recurring series;
  • future occurrences may be generated and paid separately;
  • the remaining balance for an occurrence must be paid according to the venue’s rules;
  • cancelling the series does not create a refund for completed, used, or non-refundable occurrences; and
  • future unpaid occurrences do not create a refundable amount.

Sportynix or the venue may suspend or end a permanent booking because of:

  • non-payment;
  • repeated no-shows;
  • venue closure or scheduling changes;
  • misuse;
  • breach of venue rules; or
  • another reasonable operational or legal reason.

Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the applicable venue-specific conditions.

10. Booking Payments and Advances

Some venues or sports require an advance before the booking can be confirmed. Other venues may allow payment at the venue or may not require an advance.

Before payment, Sportynix may display:

  • booking price;
  • advance amount;
  • remaining balance;
  • taxes;
  • additional charges;
  • service charges;
  • discounts;
  • points or promotional credits; and
  • total payable amount.

Where an advance is required:

  • the advance forms part of the total booking price unless stated otherwise;
  • the required amount must be paid and verified before payment confirmation;
  • the remaining balance must be paid according to the venue’s rules; and
  • failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation, refusal of entry, or recovery of the valid outstanding amount.

Paying an advance does not remove your responsibility to comply with venue rules, cancellation deadlines, no-show rules, and payment obligations.

11. Online Payments Through PayHere

Sportynix may use PayHere or another approved payment provider to process online payments.

When paying through PayHere:

  • you may be redirected to or shown a payment interface controlled by PayHere;
  • payment processing is also subject to PayHere’s applicable terms and your bank or payment-method provider’s rules;
  • Sportynix may receive the payment reference, order identifier, amount, currency, method, status, masked card information, and related transaction information; and
  • Sportynix does not require you to provide your full card number or card security code directly to Sportynix.

You must provide accurate payment and contact information and must not use a stolen, unauthorised, or fraudulent payment method.

Submitting payment, receiving an app callback, or seeing a return screen does not by itself guarantee successful payment. Sportynix will rely on verified payment information received from the payment provider or another authorised verification process.

12. Payment Statuses

A payment may be recorded as:

  • Pending: processing or awaiting verification;
  • Successful: verified as successfully received;
  • Failed: not successfully completed;
  • Cancelled: the payment process was cancelled;
  • Refunded: a successful payment was returned in full or in part;
  • Reversed: a payment was reversed by the provider or financial institution; or
  • Disputed/Chargeback: the payment was disputed through a bank, card network, wallet, or payment provider.

A pending, failed, or cancelled payment is not a completed payment.

If your bank or wallet appears to show a deduction while Sportynix displays a failed or pending payment, contact support before attempting repeated payments. Provide only the booking reference, amount, date, time, and available transaction reference. Never send your PIN, payment one-time password, full card number, or card security code.

13. Payments at the Venue

Where supported by the venue, an advance, balance, or full amount may be paid at the venue before or after play using:

  • PayHere;
  • cash;
  • bank transfer; or
  • another method accepted by the venue.

A venue-side PayHere payment may be added to your Sportynix payment history after successful verification or reconciliation.

For payments made directly to a venue outside Sportynix, the venue may be responsible for the receipt, reconciliation, or refund. Sportynix may require proof of payment and venue confirmation before investigating.

14. Saved Payment Methods

Where Sportynix offers saved payment methods, you may choose to authorise PayHere or another provider to tokenise a payment method.

Sportynix may store a provider-issued token and limited payment-method details such as the card brand, masked number, and expiry information. Sportynix does not store your card security code.

A saved payment method will only be charged where:

  • you authorise the transaction;
  • you have accepted an applicable recurring or automated payment arrangement; or
  • another lawful and clearly disclosed authorisation applies.

You may remove an available saved method through the relevant payment settings. Removing a saved method does not delete previous transaction records.

15. Booking Confirmations and QR Codes

A confirmed booking may receive a digital confirmation and QR code.

You must present the confirmation or QR code when requested by the venue.

A QR code:

  • is valid only for the associated booking;
  • may be checked against booking and payment records;
  • must not be altered, duplicated, resold, or fraudulently shared;
  • may be invalid if the booking is cancelled, refunded, expired, or unpaid; and
  • does not override venue identification, safety, balance-payment, or entry requirements.

16. Cancellations, Refunds, and Booking Changes

Cancellations, refunds, duplicate payments, failed payments, venue cancellations, no-shows, and refund-processing rules are governed by:

You are responsible for reviewing the applicable conditions before confirming a booking.

Submitting a cancellation or refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • the cancellation deadline;
  • the amount of notice provided;
  • whether the booking started or was completed;
  • whether the user attended;
  • whether the payment was an advance or full payment;
  • whether the venue cancelled or failed to provide the service;
  • whether a duplicate or incorrect charge is verified; and
  • the payment method used.

Late cancellations and no-shows may be non-refundable.

A booking change is valid only when confirmed through Sportynix or by the authorised venue and reflected in the booking record.

17. Venue Cancellations and Service Changes

If a venue cannot provide the booked facility, it may offer:

  • an alternative time;
  • an equivalent court or facility;
  • rescheduling;
  • account credit or points with your agreement; or
  • an applicable refund.

You are not required to accept a materially different replacement.

Sportynix may contact the venue, review relevant records, and assist with an eligible refund or other resolution.

18. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

You should contact Sportynix support before initiating a chargeback so that we can investigate the transaction.

Sportynix may provide relevant records to PayHere, banks, card networks, wallet providers, venues, or authorised authorities when responding to a dispute, including:

  • booking confirmation;
  • payment verification;
  • QR-code verification;
  • attendance records;
  • communications;
  • cancellation history;
  • refund history; and
  • support correspondence.

A chargeback does not automatically determine that a payment or booking was invalid.

Fraudulent chargebacks, false payment claims, or misuse of payment processes may result in account restriction, cancellation of bookings, recovery action, or reporting to relevant authorities.

Nothing in this section restricts lawful rights available through your bank or payment provider.

19. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • use Sportynix for an unlawful or unauthorised purpose;
  • harass, threaten, abuse, intimidate, or discriminate against another person;
  • post offensive, obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading content;
  • impersonate another person, venue, team, company, or organisation;
  • create false bookings or make malicious cancellations;
  • use stolen or unauthorised payment methods;
  • manipulate slot availability, prices, QR codes, payment statuses, reviews, ratings, points, scores, or competition results;
  • access another user’s account;
  • share account credentials;
  • interfere with Sportynix systems, servers, APIs, WebSocket services, or security controls;
  • upload malware or malicious code;
  • scrape, automate, or extract data without permission;
  • reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • publish another person’s confidential or payment information; or
  • use Sportynix for illegal gambling or another prohibited activity.

Violations may result in content removal, booking cancellation, points reversal, warning, account restriction, suspension, or termination.

20. User Content

20.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create or upload, including:

  • profile information;
  • team names and logos;
  • reviews and ratings;
  • photographs and media;
  • chat messages;
  • voice messages;
  • match information; and
  • other user-created content.

20.2 Licence to Sportynix

By submitting content, you grant Sportynix a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display, communicate, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • operate and provide Sportynix;
  • deliver content to intended recipients;
  • display public content;
  • secure and moderate the platform;
  • investigate reports or disputes; and
  • promote Sportynix where you have made the content public or otherwise permitted such use.

20.3 Content standards

You are responsible for your content.

Content must not:

  • violate law;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • contain harmful, abusive, discriminatory, obscene, or threatening material;
  • contain malware, scams, or fraudulent links;
  • misrepresent a booking, payment, venue, match, person, or organisation; or
  • disclose private or payment information without authority.

We may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose content where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or investigate safety, fraud, or payment issues.

21. Teams, Challenges, Leagues, and Tournaments

21.1 Team features

Team creators or appointed users may become team administrators.

Team administrators may manage:

  • membership requests and invitations;
  • roles and permissions;
  • team information;
  • challenges;
  • chats;
  • bookings; and
  • competition participation.

Team names, logos, and content must not be unlawful, offensive, misleading, or infringe another party’s rights.

21.2 Challenges

Teams may send and receive match challenges.

Participants are responsible for:

  • reviewing challenge details;
  • accepting accurate terms;
  • attending agreed matches;
  • reporting results honestly; and
  • resolving ordinary sporting disagreements respectfully.

21.3 Leagues and tournaments

League and tournament participation may be subject to additional organiser rules, eligibility requirements, fees, schedules, scoring rules, and disciplinary procedures.

Users, scorers, organisers, and administrators must provide accurate information. Sportynix may investigate or correct manipulated applications, scores, statistics, results, or standings.

Payments made for organiser-provided services may be subject to additional terms clearly displayed before payment.

22. Communication Features

Sportynix may provide direct messages, team chats, challenge chats, booking chats, league chats, tournament chats, voice messages, and media sharing.

You must use communication features responsibly and comply with the user-conduct and content rules in these Terms.

Messages may be delivered using real-time technologies such as WebSocket connections. Delivery may be delayed by network problems, device settings, maintenance, or technical conditions.

You may block, report, or otherwise restrict users where the relevant feature is available.

23. Push Notifications

Sportynix may use OneSignal or another provider to send:

  • booking confirmations and reminders;
  • payment-status and refund updates;
  • team, challenge, league, tournament, and scoring notifications;
  • chat and message alerts;
  • security notices; and
  • promotional notifications where permitted.

You may manage optional notification preferences in the app or device settings. Disabling notifications may cause you to miss time-sensitive booking or account information.

24. Points, Rewards, Referrals, and Promotions

Sportynix points, rewards, vouchers, referral benefits, and promotional credits:

  • have no cash value unless expressly stated;
  • cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • may be subject to eligibility requirements and expiry dates;
  • may be reversed if the related booking is cancelled, refunded, charged back, identified as fraudulent, or otherwise fails to qualify;
  • may be restored following an eligible cancellation or refund according to the applicable programme rules;
  • may not be transferred, sold, or fraudulently accumulated; and
  • may be changed or discontinued subject to applicable law and any specific programme terms.

Points connected to a payment-dependent booking may be granted only after the qualifying payment or booking condition has been verified.

25. Venue Conduct, Safety, and Participation Risk

You must comply with:

  • venue rules;
  • staff instructions;
  • safety procedures;
  • equipment requirements;
  • dress requirements;
  • age restrictions;
  • booking-time limits; and
  • applicable laws.

A venue may refuse entry or remove a user for:

  • dangerous or abusive behaviour;
  • intoxication;
  • failure to pay;
  • property damage;
  • fraudulent information;
  • misuse of a booking or QR code; or
  • failure to comply with safety or venue rules.

Sports and physical activities involve inherent risks. You are responsible for determining whether you are fit to participate and for using appropriate care, equipment, and supervision.

Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

26. Intellectual Property

The Sportynix name, logo, software, app design, website, databases, graphics, text, platform content, and related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Webxkey (Private) Limited.

Sportynix grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for lawful personal or authorised organisational use in accordance with these Terms.

You may not, without written permission:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Sportynix content or software;
  • use Sportynix trademarks or branding;
  • create derivative works;
  • reverse engineer or decompile the app except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
  • remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

27. Third-Party Services

Sportynix may integrate with services provided by:

  • PayHere;
  • Google;
  • Apple;
  • Microsoft Azure;
  • OneSignal;
  • mapping providers;
  • banks and payment networks;
  • app stores; and
  • other service providers.

Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

Sportynix is not responsible for an interruption, rejection, delay, or decision controlled solely by a third party. We will take reasonable steps to assist where the issue relates to a Sportynix booking, payment, or account.

28. Service Availability and Changes

Sportynix is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • every feature will be available on every device;
  • real-time features will have no delay;
  • every venue listing will always be accurate; or
  • a venue will never change or cancel an available service.

We may temporarily restrict Sportynix for maintenance, updates, security, legal compliance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where a technical failure results in a verified incorrect payment or prevents a paid booking from being provided, the issue will be handled under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

29. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sportynix is provided without warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms.

We do not guarantee the quality, suitability, condition, safety, or availability of a venue operator’s independent services.

Venue operators remain responsible for the facilities and services they provide.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

30. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Webxkey, Sportynix, and their directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from use of Sportynix.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the extent permitted by law and, where appropriate, to the amount paid through Sportynix for the specific booking or transaction giving rise to the claim.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or other protected legal rights.

31. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Webxkey, Sportynix, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from:

  • your unlawful use of Sportynix;
  • your material breach of these Terms;
  • content you submit;
  • infringement of another party’s rights;
  • fraudulent bookings or payments; or
  • damage or misconduct caused by you.

This section does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Sportynix’s own breach, negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.

32. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in:

  • Sportynix features;
  • payment or booking processes;
  • venue operations;
  • security practices;
  • legal requirements; or
  • business operations.

Where changes are material, we may notify you through the app, website, email, push notification, or another appropriate method.

The “Last Updated” date will be changed when these Terms are revised. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

33. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Before starting formal proceedings, you should contact Sportynix support and provide reasonable information about the dispute so that we can attempt to resolve it.

Unresolved disputes may be referred to the courts or another legally authorised dispute-resolution body in Sri Lanka.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent or protective legal relief where appropriate.

34. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

35. No Waiver

A delay or failure by Sportynix to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

36. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written permission.

We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the Sportynix business, subject to applicable law.

37. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and any applicable venue or feature-specific conditions, form the agreement between you and Sportynix concerning your use of the service.
